  
Dale Jr drove the black Budweiser #8 in the spring Talladega race. His father Dale Earnhardt Sr was inducted into the International Hall of Fame in Talladega that week. April 29th is Dale Earnhardt Day, chosen to honor Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s birthday.
Banks were made by Motorsports Authentics (formerly Action), but were not distributed to dealers - as a Dealer, we will not be getting any DEI drivers' Talladega clear window banks.
This is a copy of the email sent in July to everyone who purchased a black Budweiser 1/24 car or clear window bank.

Sue’s Race Shop will not be getting the 2006 Dale Earnhardt Jr 1/24 Action black Budweiser cars or clear window banks. At Sue’s Race Shop we do not sell items that have not been confirmed. We started preselling the entire DEI black diecast program during Talladega’s race week, announcing the program to honor Dale Earnhardt’s birthday – now Dale Earnhardt Day – and his ten wins at Talladega Superspeedway. As you recall, The Intimidator was added to the Talladega International Hall of Fame that week.

We placed an order for ample quantity of 1/24 black Budweiser cars and banks and were confirmed these numbers via email. Days later we received an email that this confirmation was an error. Petitioning to Motorsports Authentics superiors over the phone and through letters has been in vain. In the past Action has proposed programs that have failed to materialize, but these cars are being made and we have been told that the demand is 100s of times the supply. We’ve asked for someone to refer you to because with a production number of 33,333, someone must have some cars for sale, but have turned up empty. Our hope is that with this notice, you can begin searching, and may find a car for yourself. All I can say is that I apologize to you, but will make it up on your next Dale Earnhardt Jr car order.
At Sue’s Race Shop, we will receive all 1/64 #8 black Dale Jr cars that we ordered and the five car sets which include a 1/24 Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame car along with 1/64 black DEI cars: #8 Budweiser, #8 Bass Pro race wore, #1 Bass Pro, and #15 Paul Menard. We would like to offer our customers an alternative 1/24 Action Dale Earnhardt Jr car. Two programs for Dale Earnhardt Jr have been announced since the Talladega cars, and we have been guaranteed plenty of these 1/24 Action cars. The Retro #8 Father’s Day cars and the 250th Consecutive Nascar Starts #8 Budweiser car are available to preorder at this time. Both of these cars are specially designed paint schemes and will be great additions to your Nascar diecast collection. As promised above, apologetically we will make this order worth your while.
